One of the best things to do in Porto, if you like walking, is to walk from Porto Old Town to Alfurada, passing through Villa Gai de Nova. There is not an awful lot to see in Afurada. However it’s a nice place to spend a day if you have plenty of time to spare in Porto. This is about as off the beaten path as it gets.
